New Feature: Find All

We've just released a new feature that we think has a lot of potential. Called Find All, it lets you instantly identify all occurrences of key categories of information in your Results. Now, with the simple movement of a mouse, you can Find All the Numbers, Dollars, Dates and Times, Urls, and Emails in the Result Set. See a screenshot of Find All in action below.

UI Tweaks

We'd like to humbly thank everyone who has been sending us feedback.  Your comments are greatly appreciated and are a wonderful source of ideas and inspiration for us.  One thing we've heard from some of our users is that they like the UI but feel that it can be a bit overwhelming.

To this effect, we've tweaked ManagedQ's interface to tone down the image content and clean up some of the lines.  We feel the new UI  manages to be less abrasive to our first-time users while still retaining a highly graphical spirit.

Again, thank you everyone for the feedback, and please continue to let us know what you think so that we can keep making ManagedQ even better.

New Feature: Instant Find in Managed Results

Now in all Managed Results (that's the preview you see when you click a result), simply start typing and we will Instant Find matches inside the document.

As the Safari and Firefox users out there know, the Find feature is immensely useful.  Given a document simply type and you find matching words.  Unfortunately, Internet Explorer users are not as lucky and suffer from the same Find box that shipped with IE 4.0.

But we've picked up where Safari left off and taken the Find feature one step further.  We both do full matches as well as partial word matches.  So type in "Jay Leno" and you'll find all the instances of "Mr Leno" "Jay" and every other possibility.

For the Techies out there, we've added Regular Expression support to Instant Find.  Simply begin your expression like /expr/ and you'll be greping your results (omit modifiers like 'i' or 'g', we auto append them).

Simply type /\d/ to find all the numbers in the document.  Or   /\$.*?\s/ to see all the dollar amounts.

For the rest of us who don't have the time to learn the hidden language of Regular Expressions, expect to see features in the near future that make tasks like finding dollar amounts, names, numbers, emails and links a one click process.

ManagedQ: Way Faster

ManagedQ just took the speed level up another notch.  We spent all weekend tinkering with the engine, and now ManagedQ is even faster than before.  Try mousing over the Executive Summary, and you'll see the difference.  Overall, we've seen load times plummet and seen interface snappiness improve.  But it is a work in progress  so please send us your feedback.

ManagedQ Just Got Slicker

In response to the excellent feedback we received from our dedicated user base, we've revamped the visual style of the Executive Summaries. ManagedQ now sports a clean, sexy black veneer. We listened to your request for something a little easier on the eyes, and now you have it. Please let us know if it fits the bill.

Let us know what you think. Email or leave comments here.

ManagedQ just got Faster

ManagedQ was fast before, but we just made it a lot, lot faster. Try a Search, let it run for a minute, and then press reload: Voila, instant Executive Summary and less CPU burn.

We've created a cutting-edge Distributed Natural Language Processing technology which turns our users' computers into a massive super-computing cluster.

But what our D-NLP (Distributed Natural Language Processing) technology really does is just turn your browser into a good Samaritan; if you do a Search, we remember the Executive Summary so the next guy doesn't need to re-compute it.

So basically, it costs you nothing and helps everyone out.

And on a side-note, we made substantial improvements to our Managed Results, decreasing the rendering time by 90%. So just click the picture and you get Instant results.

We'll be continuing to improve the ManagedQ Search Application in the near future. But we can't do it without you. Don't be bashful - send us your thoughts, feedback, and ideas.
